Benjamin Nii-Lartey Ayiku is a multifaceted journalist and filmmaker who founded Adonai Studios, a multimedia company that dedicates a portion of its earnings to disability advocacy. His tireless efforts in promoting disability rights have garnered him numerous accolades. In 2019, the Africa Disability Alliance in South Africa recognized him as Africa’s Disability Rights Journalist of the Year. He received further recognition at the 2021 Ghana Disability Excellence Awards, where he was honored for his Excellence in Disability Campaign. The same year, YALI TV and the US Embassy in Ghana acknowledged his contributions to disability advocacy. Most recently, he was awarded at the 2022 Humanitarian Awards Global.
Benjamin’s dedication to disability advocacy spans over 15 years, beginning in 2005 when he utilized radio drama and talk shows on Radio Ada, a community radio station in Ada, to educate the public on disability rights. He also founded DisabilityNewsGH.com, a news platform solely focused on reporting disability-related matters.
