They donated food items, toiletries, drinks, and other items valued at Gh¢2,000 and a cash amount of Gh¢8,000. 

The learners, numbering five, who are preparing to sit the Basic Education Certificate Examination later this year’s, will be the first batch of junior high learners to graduate from Westbridge School, established six years ago. 

They were accompanied by some of their JHS 1 juniors and teachers to present the items and the money to Gabriel and his mother on March 8, 2024.

Gabriel expressed his appreciation to the learners and prayed for success for them in the examination ahead.

The donation exercise was a special project undertaken by the final-year learners.

The administrator of the school, Miss Linda Attobrah disclosed that a few months ago, the proprietress of the school, Mrs Wendy Omorogiuwa saw on TikTok, a fundraising video produced by DisabilityNewGH.com for Gabriel. 

According to her, it was at a time when the learners were contemplating a project to support the community before they leave; as is done by final-year learners of most basic schools in the country. 

Madam Linda further disclosed that the proprietress told the learners about Gabriel’s story and urged them to raise funds for him as their project. Subsequently, the learners organized a fun game event at the school and sold various items to their juniors to raise funds. 

She added that the effort of the learners was complemented by contributions from some parents which summed up to the Gh¢10,000.

The following are the names of learners who took part in the presentation. Ayeyi Oppong-Mensah, Princess Claudeen Thompson, Kevin Nii Adjei Sowah, Prince Agyeman Kwarteng, Blessing Caulley, Christabel Abe, Miracle Erondu, Anthony Appiah, Kevina Sowah.
