Madam Sophie Akua Acheampong, President of the Little People Association of Ghana, has been appointed Chair of the Conflict Resolution Committee of the African Federation of Associations of Little People.
The appointment was made on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in Bamako, Mali, where the 2nd African Forum of Little People is currently underway.
Madam Acheampong is one of eight new executives elected to lead the Federation for the next three years.
Madam Sophie Akua Acheampong expressed her excitement about the new position.
She pledged to work diligently to serve the Federation, while also leveraging the platform to build her capacity and establish connections that would benefit the lives of little people in Ghana.
The forum, which began on Monday, October 13, will conclude on Friday, October 18, with a pageant to crown Miss Little Person Africa.
