On May 15-16, 2024, the beneficiaries learned to produce soap, shower gel, and shampoo, receiving starter packs to establish their own ventures.

Madam Adzigbey described the training as a Mandela Day Service, aimed at bringing joy and reducing poverty among persons with disabilities. The initiative also encourages beneficiaries to train fellow persons with disabilities and community members.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude, feeling recognized and loved, and pledged to apply their new skills to improve their economic situations.

The duo also conducted a sensitization programme at Ibadur Rahman Islamic Senior High School, educating students on disability rights and promoting diversity acceptance, as well as inclusion.

Madam Adzigbey and Mr. Fuseni thanked the USA Department of State, USA Embassy Ghana, and IREX for the opportunity to positively impact society.
