In a touching tribute celebrating resilience, selflessness, and exceptional fatherhood, prominent disability inclusion advocate and public health nurse Miss Gifty Akosua Adzigbey has spotlighted the inspiring journey of Mr Seth Quansah, a dedicated father living with a disability who has spent over a decade championing the rights of marginalised groups in the Gomoa West District.
Mr Quansah, a devoted husband and proud father of three, embodies the true essence of strength and responsibility.
Amid economic challenges and physical hurdles, he has successfully steered his family through education, witnessing two of his children graduate from Senior High School (SHS) this year (2026), while the youngest continues their secondary education.
Beyond the home front, Mr Quansah is a pillar of civil society in the Central Region, serving as a dedicated executive member of the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) in the Gomoa West District.
For years, he has volunteered his time and energy to advance health, education, and livelihood initiatives for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Reflecting on a professional and advocacy relationship spanning 13 years, Miss Adzigbey—a Mandela Washington Fellow—praised Mr Quansah’s unwavering commitment to community development.
“For the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him in community projects,” Miss Adzigbey shared. “His resilience, dedication, love, and kind heart for other PWDs inspire me deeply.”
Rather than allowing physical disability to hinder his potential, Mr Quansah has consistently transformed his lived experience into a powerful platform for advocacy, dismantling stigma, and demanding equal opportunities for disabled citizens in his district.
To honour his extraordinary dedication to fatherhood and community service, Miss Adzigbey presented Mr Quansah with a special celebratory hamper, expressing profound gratitude for his selflessness and enduring impact on the lives of persons with disabilities in Gomoa West.
“Though physically challenged, he never allowed his condition to be a barrier,” Miss Adzigbey noted during the presentation. “Instead, he transformed it into a powerful platform to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities in his community and district. Today, as we celebrate fathers, I celebrate not only a parent but a leader full of compassion, courage, and vision.”
